Our Story
Our journey began in 2016 when a group of dedicated K9 handlers in Statesboro, GA, recognized the need to provide veterinary assistance to retired K9s.
We soon realized that not only retired K9s required assistance but also active duty K9s in various police departments across the state were lacking essential funding. Witnessing this pressing need, we expanded our mission in 2018 and established the Georgia Police K9 Foundation.
Our foundation is driven by a devoted team of volunteers, including K9 handlers, law enforcement professionals, and compassionate citizens. Together, we are committed to protecting and serving law enforcement K9s, whether they are actively serving or have retired from their duties.
The overwhelming support we received from the community further highlighted the significant needs of law enforcement K9s throughout Georgia. We believe that these courageous canines deserve the utmost care and support for their invaluable service to our communities.
